Job Brief:
Purchasers buy goods, tools, and equipment for the company or for resale to customers.
Purchasers’ duties include price evaluations, market assessments, product ordering, record keeping, and tracking of inbound orders.
The Purchaser will assist customers in a storefront setting and procure materials.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the Purchasing team with day-to-day duties.
Assist in procurement of products for locations.
Assist customers in a storefront setting.
Procure materials.
Ensure all supplier, item, and pricing information is loaded complete, correctly and is maintain on an ongoing basis.
Ensure that all member/customer inquiries and concerns are dealt with in a timely, consistent, and professional manor.
Interacting with product suppliers and other locations to solve product/purchasing requests.
Maintain the purchasing files (vendor information, product descriptions, pricing, product images).
Help with Marketing programs when required.
Other duties as required.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong data entry skills.
Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office.
Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
Can work both in a team environment and independently.
Knowledgeable in oil and gas products.
Strong understanding of business fundamentals, including marketing, finance, and supply chain.
3 years of experience is required.
Education:
High School Diploma
Degree or diploma in business administration or commerce, supply chain management or economics (preferred but not required).
