Retail Food Service Analyst

Your expertise is needed to perform a detailed review of historical sales and expenses relating to the building, food and labor, along with advising on current business operations and local market conditions.
The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of experience in owning, operating or managing a successful food service operation.
This position is temporary part-time and can be on a consultant basis or as a temporary employee.
The position allows for a great degree of flexibility due to the business operations running 7am - 4pm 7 days a week.
The pay range for the position is $45 - $52/hour based on previous business experience.

Job Duties:
1.
Observe and make recommendations for change based on a detailed review of current and historical sales and expenses (food, labor and building).
2.
Identify potential missed opportunities for sales and or savings.
3.
Assist in identifying sales projections needed to establish a breakeven point and rate of regular increase in pricing to keep up with minimum wage level changes in the following years.
4.
Advising on the layout and design of the space for maximum efficiency and customer appeal.
5.
Negotiating favorable terms with suppliers for coffee beans, equipment, and other supplies.
6.
Identify cost control opportunities and/or menu changes based on market and historical sales.
7.
Evaluate existing marketing strategies and recommendations for changes to attract and/or and retain customers.
8.
Identify potential technology solutions to streamline operations and enhance customer experience.
9.
Evaluate and make recommendations for improvement to quality control and/or food safety.
10.
Review, observe and assist business to identify needs in staff training as it relates to customer service, coffee preparation, and other relevant areas.
11.
Provide guidance on pricing strategies and profit margins.
Qualifications:
1.
Minimum of a HS Diploma or Equivalent.
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree emphasis in business, marketing, finance or related field) preferred
2.
3- 5 years of experience in operating/managing successful food service retail operations is a must.

Experience in data analytics and generating insights
4.
Experience in developing ads and advertisements.
5.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of social media platforms.
6.
Microsoft office suite experience (excel, word and PowerPoint)
7.
Strong communication, follow-up, and organization skills.
8.
Prior experience in Management and or Supervision of employees in a retail establishment.
9.
Strong knowledge of food service retail regulations.
