*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team.
As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of our patients while adhering to all healthcare regulations and protocols.
*Duties*:
- Perform routine nursing tasks, such as specimen collection processing, IV infusion, and wound care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the appropriate medical personnel
- Assist with physical examinations and provide support during medical procedures, such as cardiac catheterization
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean healthcare environment
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times
*Requirements*:
- Valid LPN license in NY
- Proven experience as an LPN or in a similar role
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques
- Proficient in performing IV insertion, specimen collection processing, physical examinations, and administering medications
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients when necessary
