The Chemung County Nursing Facility is seeking a full time *Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor* to be scheduled evenings (2:45pm-11:15pm) with every other weekend requirement.
*Typical Tasks:*
* Perform duties associated with supervising subordinates within the nursing department including, staff scheduling (call offs), and education on basic topics such as ADLs, Safe Patient Handling, etc.
* Supervise the care of up to 200 long term geriatric residents, including assessing need for higher levels of care in case of an emergency.
* Perform high level acute care such as midline and PICC lines, administration of IV antibiotics, and monitoring coumadin residents.
* Receive and evaluate resident labs and access critical values, consulting with providers as needed.
* Communicate professionally and effectively with administration, providers, staff, family members and residents.
* Round with providers as needed, and perform clinical audits as assigned including staff hand washing, repositioning and medication administration.
* Execute fire and other code drills as assigned, educating staff at completion of drills when needed.
* Work in a fast paced team setting to complete daily tasks.
* Other duties as assigned.

*Qualifications:*
* Currently Licensed by New York State as a Registered Nurse, or ability to transfer certificate to New York State.
* At least one year of Professional Nursing, Six Months of which must be in a supervising capacity such as charge nurse, head nurse, or nursing supervisor in an institutional or clinical setting.
* Up-to-date CPR or BLS certification.
* Ability to lead as a team player, have strong customer service skills, and possess critical thinking and decision making skills in an acute care setting.
