The Chemung County Nursing Facility is seeking Staff Registered Nurses (RN) for a day shift (6:45 AM to 3:15 PM) team leader position.

*Typical Tasks:*
* Performs the primary function of a charge nurse while supporting nursing care standards through adherence to existing policies and procedures.
* Administers medication and treatments as needed and ordered, using care plans as a basis for providing safe and therapeutic care to patients.
Communicates with the patient and his or her family and other members of the health care team in carrying out the goals of the care plan.
* Accepts accountability for clinical care of assigned patients including supervision of nonprofessional personnel, and monitoring their completion of daily documentation.
* Evaluates and notes the patient's response to nursing care defined in the nursing care plan and medical records, including reporting and investigating resident complaints and accident/incidents to nurse manager.
* Assumes responsibility for professional growth by current reading and attendance at educational programs and unit conferences.
*Qualifications:*
* Acute Clinical Experience
* Currently registered by the NYS Education Department as a Registered Nurse, or ability to transfer licensure to New York State
* CPR or BLS Certified
