TEACHER, ONLINE LEARNING - BIOLOGY

Part-time position Various middle and high schools throughout the GST BOCES region.
The majority of the work can be done virtually (through email, phone calls) with some face-to-face or Zoom meetings as needed.
Instruct students in grades 7 - 12 across the region in online academic courses Coursework is mostly supplied through a vendor In most cases, grading is required by the online teacher Online teacher will be responsible for contact with students, district, and/or parents-guardians on a regular basis and as needed by the student for individual support with the content area.
Job Qualifications Valid NYS Permanent or Professional Certification in 7 – 12 Biology Three (3) years’ teaching experience; High proficiency with technology; Quick responsiveness to students and stakeholders; Strong organizational skills; Strong written and oral communication skills; A willingness to supplement online content as needed SALARY: Based on number of students, per course, per semester.
Instructors also receive a one-time training stipend and hourly pay for mandatory meetings and trainings.
Instructors may be assigned multiple students across the region at one time, based on need.
