Duties:
- Safely operate a vehicle to transport passengers to their desired destinations
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with loading and unloading their belongings and opening and closing the trunk or back hatch of vehicle
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle at all times
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users
- Collect fares and handle cash transactions accurately
- Keep track of mileage and time for reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other drivers to receive pick-up and drop-off instructions
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be at least 25 years old
- Excellent knowledge of the local area and navigation skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Good communication skills to interact with passengers from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
Note: Drivers are independent contractors NOT employees.
Experience as a delivery driver, paratransit driver, bus driver, or van driver is a plus.
Driver "ride around" is a must to see if this is a position you could do.
It is two 4 hour rides with two different shifts.
