50 per hour based on experience and a 37.
5-hour workweek.
Monday – Thursday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm; Friday 6:30 am to 12:00 pm.
*Primary Functions:* The Warehouse Driver is primarily responsible for the safe operation of vehicles, including Refrigerated Trucks utilized by the Food Bank of the Southern Tiers (FBST) for acquiring and distributing food products.
Additionally, they are involved in various manual tasks related to warehouse operations, including order picking, unloading deliveries, operating warehouse equipment, and general maintenance and cleanup.
*Specific Duties:* Responsible for pulling orders from the warehouse, loading trucks, and delivering products to scheduled sites.
Collect local donations and ensure the prompt and professional delivery of orders to partner agencies across the six-county service area.
Assists in unloading and loading products onto/from trucks.
Assures accuracy of quantity as well as the quality of deliverables.
Inspects product donations to verify compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Maintain rapport with vendors/donors and/or their employees to foster continued support and a professional working relationship.
Adhere to vendor/donor personnel and food safety policies while working on their premises.
Commit to upholding policies, principles, and best practices for food safety and verify that food safety standards are met for products and packaging materials through visual inspections, product handling, and temperature monitoring when applicable.
Ensure all required compliance and food safety documentation is complete, accurate, and current.
Safely operates Food Bank vehicles, ensuring optimal operating conditions by monitoring oil, gas, fluid levels, battery, tires, etc.
Reports any issues to their supervisor promptly.
Completes required paperwork such as daily mileage logs, trip logs, fuel logs, temperature logs, and safety checks along with all required pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
Understand the personal responsibility to follow all safety policies and health rules, programs, and procedures, report all unsafe acts, environments, or behaviors immediately, and always report safety issues, incidents, or accidents immediately.
Maintain all current licenses, certifications, and medical cards in accordance/compliance with FBST, State, and Federal requirements.
Operates motorized forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely, efficiently, and in accordance with FBST policies and OSHA regulations.
Clean vehicles and equipment.
Performs various general warehouse duties, including packing customer orders, unloading deliveries, re-packing food products, and general maintenance duties in the warehouse, office, common areas, and grounds.
Collaborates with other team members in a cooperative and supportive manner, including helping and providing fill-in coverage for other positions when needed.
Assists in the daily operation of the warehouse and other related activities as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications:* · High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Minimum 1 years’ experience in a warehouse and/or product distribution center as a driver and/or general warehouse worker is required.
· CDL Class A license required.
· Certified forklift operator or willing to obtain certification.
· ServSafe certified or willing to become certified.
· Occasionally lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Pass alcohol and drug testing in accordance with the Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
